Erling Haaland offered a hilarious response to Roy Keane's recent criticism of his ability after scoring four in Manchester City's 5-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Last month, Keane claimed Haaland's overall ability was closer to a 'League Two player' than a superstar after a poor run of form, later upgrading his opinion of the Norway international to a 'Championship player'.

There were few questions about Haaland's talents on Saturday, however, as the City striker netted four goals in a brutal 5-1 victory over Wolves. He could have even netted a few more in what was a sensational showing.

"I don't really care about that man," Haaland scoffed.

Keane has faced plenty of criticism for his comments on Haaland, including from City boss Pep Guardiola, who highlighted that the Norway international was not fully fit when Keane aimed his jibe.

"He was injured," Guardiola explained. "To come back to his best form, he needs time. He is so tall. He's not like Jeremy [Doku] or Phil [Foden].

"I'm happy for his performance and his exceptional goals, and the penalties as well because we know how sometimes they are not easy.

"But the second and the fourth were unbelievable. I’m really pleased for him."

Haaland's four-goal haul gave him significant breathing room in the race for the Golden Boot, taking his tally for the season to 25 in 28 games.
